Black Warrior Riverkeeper is conducting an ongoing cell phone & ink jet cartridge recycling fundraiser. Please help protect the environment by donating your used cell phone(s) and ink jet cartridge(s). Your used cell phone(s) will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and sold by EcoPhones. Either way, EcoPhones pays us for every phone and cartridge we mail them (free of charge) for recycling or reuse. 100% of the proceeds will help fund our efforts to protect and restore the Black Warrior River and its tributaries. MannaMarket Organic Produce Co-Op has generously agreed to donate 15% of every new order referred to them by Black Warrior Riverkeeper supporters. MannaMarket provides certified organic produce every two weeks at a distribution location in Cahaba Heights. It is just off of Hwy. 280 on Dolly Ridge Road at the New Merkle House (Senior Center) next to the elementary school. They have pre-packed orders, containing 8 kinds of fruits and 8 kinds of vegetables, ranging from $35 to $80, as well as a variety of produce available for purchase. Since organic farming mirrors many of our organization's tenets, this offer really makes sense for our group to support.
