Jayne Pool

The Reverend Dr. Jayne Collins Pool is the Rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Birmingham, in the Diocese of Alabama, and teaches Religion to Middle Schoolers at Advent Episcopal School. Jayne also has been Associate Rector at St. Mary’s on the Highlands and Campus Minister in Montgomery.  She has served the Diocese on the Commission on Ministry, Spirituality Commission, Diocesan Council, Standing Committee, and Stewardship of Creation Task Force and is a Stewardship consultant and serves on the Cursillo Secretariat.

Jayne received a BA in Religion, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Birmingham-Southern College, a Masters of Divinity from Yale University Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry from the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee.  She completed the Special Post-Graduate Program in Bowen Family Systems Theory, Georgetown Family Center, Washington, D.C.  Jayne is married to Jim, an attorney specializing in health care and tax exempt organizations work.  They have one daughter, Kirby, 26, who teaches first grade. They also have two dogs and one cat, all rescues.
