Cleanups Team

Black Warrior Riverkeeper volunteers join City Councilor Clinton Woods for a cleanup in Birmingham District 1.

Purpose: This position helps Black Warrior Riverkeeper clean up areas in our watershed.

Tasks & Responsibilities: Volunteers will attend cleanups advertised by Black Warrior Riverkeeper, and/or set up their own cleanup(s). Whether the cleanup is for a solo endeavor or community-wide, every little bit helps!

Required/Preferred Skills: Ability to lift 10+ lbs and be on your feet for a prolonged period.

Time Commitment: Ad hoc basis

Site & Supervision: This work can be performed as a solo or community-wide endeavor.

Volunteer Benefits: This position offers volunteers experience in hands on cleanups and litter removal. This role also offers volunteers the ability to work directly with others who are dedicated to restoring and maintaining the health of the watershed.
