 Rosey White ~ AmeriCorps Member

[email protected]

Rosey White joins Black Warrior Riverkeeper as the AmeriCorps service member for 2022-2023 on October 1, 2022. She is helping Katie Fagan and Charles Scribner expand Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s volunteer engagement, litter cleanups, and outreach across the Black Warrior River watershed.

Rosey is currently obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at the University of Alabama. She graduates in May of 2023. Through her study, she has gotten the opportunity to build skills in grant writing and study natural resources.

Previously, Rosey has developed her passion of conservation and outreach through an internship with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA) and time spent working at a summer camp/environmental education program. In her spare time, she volunteers with a local organization, Schoolyard Roots, and spends lots of time with her dog, Olive.

Rosey encourages folks from all age groups, backgrounds, and locations to sign up for our monthly volunteer newsletter email: blackwarriorriver.org/volunteer-newsletters/.
