Rosey White joins our team

Welcome Rosey White, Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s new AmeriCorps member! From October 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023, Rosey will assist Katie Fagan and Charles Scribner in expanding our volunteer projects, litter cleanups, and outreach across the Black Warrior River watershed.

Rosey is currently obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at the University of Alabama. She graduates in May of 2023. Through her study, she has gotten the opportunity to build skills in grant writing and study natural resources.

Previously, Rosey has developed her passion of conservation and outreach through an internship with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA) and time spent working at a summer camp/environmental education program. In her spare time, she volunteers with a local organization, Schoolyard Roots, and spends lots of time with her dog, Olive.

We encourage folks from all age groups, backgrounds, and locations to sign up for our monthly volunteer newsletter email here: blackwarriorriver.org/volunteer-newsletters/.
